BREAKDOWN WARRANTY
- Breakdown Cover Protection
- For the purpose of this policy Breakdown shall mean the sudden and unforeseen breaking, distortion, overheating or electrical burn-out of any part of the machine which occurs under normal working conditions and results in its immediate stoppage of function which requires replacement or repair before normal working can resume.
- Breakdown Cover Benefits
- Cover for all mechanical, electronic and electrical equipment or component failure.
- Reimbursement of full cost of repairs or adjustments for component or components breakdown, failure or burning to include all labour costs, parts or components costs and travelling costs.
- Fixed cover :
The policy does not have to be renewed for 12 months, saving time and money. - Fixed premium :
You can budget for the entire period, no increases or lump sum to be paid during the period of cover. - Emergency costs so repairs can be completed without prior approval and can be completed as soon as possible and normal working resumed.
- Claims dealt with, simply and promptly by our dedicated print industry specialists.
- No premium increases no matter how many claims are made during the period of cover.
- The independence to work with the repairer of your choice or the flexibility to use one of our many alternative equipment specialist repairers or independent engineers.
- Financial security with a fully supported breakdown cover plan.
- Optional choice of including any loss due to accidental damage and or operator error.
- Breakdown Cover Protection also includes
- Defective materials, lubrication failure, burnout of electrical motors and components
- Faulty repair or damage caused by the repairing agent
- Voltage fluctuations, failure of thermostat or other controlling devices
- Insulation failure/short circuits and instrumentation failure.
- Principal Exclusions
- First fourteen days no claims moratorium period
- Losses provided for by a equipment or machinery warranty period, guarantee or maintenance contract
- Costs of Routine Preventative Maintenance
- Routine Cleaning Maintenance
- Deliberate misuse, Malicious damage and / or neglect
- Consequential losses
- Any loss away from own registered premises
- Losses due to gradual deterioration, rusting, scratching, intentional overloading, experimentation, testing or commissioning
- Maximum extent of loss is limited to 25,000.00 for breakdown in respect of any one claim or series of claims arising out of any one occurrence.
- All Risks Losses from theft, fire, lightning, explosion, flood, frost and aircraft

- Pre-Contract Inspection
- This process may or may not require a site visit. A test file is given, which must be printed and returned after filling out. It will be looked at and a decision can then be made to: put the printer on immediate cover, or: arrange a site visit to carry out any necessary pre-contract repairs. Any work required to bring the printer into working condition will be chargeable.
